March

I was playing with Photoshop elements and I made this picture of the Temple of Santo Domingo where Jared and I got married.
Yesterday we went to the Park with Mario. The weather was excellent, so Mario and Jared were just enjoying themselves. This was the perfect opportunity for me to take pictures of them. Today, we have so much snow that I can't see two feet in front of my house.
We love Santa Fe so much. This is the perfect town for our little family.

Mario is not scared of the slide anymore. He goes by himself. The only thing he doesn't like is children that look his own age. I can see how much he enjoys hanging out with adults. Hopefully going back to nursery will help him to be more social with children his own age.

Those two are best buddies.

March, already?

Is it already March? This is just a quick update to document where we are right now in our lives.

We've had a great start to 2010. Some highlights:
  1. New car!
  2. Jenny's first ski trip!
  3. New furniture!
  4. New server!
We already posted pictures of the new Rover, but here's another one!

Yeah, the Rover rocks. It handles really well in the snow too!

Last year, we got some free lift tickets to Sipapu ski resort here in NM so in January, Jenny and I went skiing. It was Jenny's first time EVER and she did great!

We also celebrated my 27th birthday in January and Jenny got me this awesome server:

It's serving our webpage, running our home phone, acting as a seedbox, fileserver, media server, and backup server and using only 3 watts of electricity!

Mario's been enjoying playing in the snow. I think the only downside to the cold weather is that we spent almost the entire month of February sick!

Toward the end of February, we had a company wide meeting here in Santa Fe. Here's a picture of us at the Georgia O'Keefe museum (that was rented out for our company party). We got to tour the Susan Rothenberg exhibit that was on display at the museum as well as see the O'Keefes. It was fun.

Here's a few pictures of our new furniture. Jenny had been wanting to get these pieces for a while now.

We also got this sleeper sofa for the guest room.

That about sums it up for now. Until next time!

Time to Blog.

My two guys. They are so handsome.
My next project is going to be to decorate our bedroom.

Mami and Mario.

I'm practicing again with my SLR. I want to be able to take pictures like a professional photographer.

Our new hobby is to go to new restaurants every week.
Asian food is our favorite.

Sam gave Mario this huge dog. He loves to dragged around the house.

Project: Mario's room makeover
Weekend projects.
I bought some fabric, and pillows. I got my machine fix, so now I can actually complete these projects.

I have been making a quilt for a few weeks now. I was making it by hand because my machine was broken, but now it works, so that means I can finish Mario's quilt. My mom is amazing sewing. She could make the best dresses, curtains and everything. She would do it by hand or using a non electrical sewing machine.

Jared's birthday was on the 23th. January. The whole family went for dinner to a place in downtown Santa Fe called Yin Yang. Really nice place and the food was amazing. Later we came back home, drank hot chocolate and opened presents.
I got Jared this Sheeva plug which is a mini server or something like that. It got here yesterday.
These are the two pillows I made last weekend.

Mario has a tent in the middle of his room. It is his man cave. He loves it, he watch movies in his Ipod in there and read his baby books too.
Inside the tent, he has a soft pillow, a blanket and a tiny sleeping bag.
